The most important thing that travel does for babi

The most important thing that travel does for babies is it breaks them free of the “baby bubble” and exposes them to the real world.

I had been trying for *weeks* to teach him how to moo. No progress.

He still won’t say “mamma”, but watching hundreds of cows walk in the streets of India has him “moo-ing” within days of our trip.

Will he remember India? Nope. But did India teach him something about the world?? YES!!!!

It’s comfortable and easy to keep kids sheltered. It’s easier to keep the tantrums and the spills and stains in the safety of your own home and not “out there” for the public to witness and roll their eyes at.

There is a time and a place for the home. But guess what- there’s a time and the place for the outside world too! Your baby deserves to see the world. And the world deserves to see your baby!

You don’t need to take them out of the country to learn. Just take them outside!!! ☀️🌳

Go to that farm!!! Hit up that petting zoo!! Stomp their feet in some puddles! Go to a restaurant. Go shopping. Babies learn by seeing and by doing. Go do!!

For Lent Greg suggested that we say a small prayer first thing in the morning. I rolled my eyes a little, simply because every day starts at 5am in our household thanks to our child. 🙃🙃

For this reason, I’m not the jolliest in the morning.

But after 2 days of morning prayer, I’m already seeing a change of heart. There are so many small blessings that God presents to early risers.

Morning sunrises are one of my favorite sites, and the beauty of nature is an incredible reward for waking up early!

More importantly, getting out of bed early gives us the time to focus on prayer rather than to rush out of home.

I couldn’t find a single Bible verse depicting a Biblical figure that slept in AND THEN went out to complete God’s work. Every single person “arose early” and then got to business.

Let that sink in. ⛵️⛵️

EDIT: the third Bible verse is actually Psalm 5:3 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I apologize for the copy & paste error that I only noticed 30 seconds after I posted 🤷🏻‍♀️
