Did you know there’s a country that puts animals on its money instead of presidents and rulers?
This country is Costa Rica.
Costa Rica is known worldwide for its wildlife, as it is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. Monkeys are a favorite among tourists, but you can also expect to see macaws, sloths, tree frogs, rhinoceros beetles, and more. Visiting jungles and rain forests is definitely one of the biggest draws in Costa Rica, and you will not be disappointed.
With that being said, Costa Rica has a lot more to offer than just wildlife! The beaches are incredible, with both Pacific and Caribbean coasts, and the capital city of San Jose is pretty fun to explore, too. Most tourists fly into San Jose’s big, international airport and immediately head off to another part of the country, but spending a day or two exploring the capital is well-worth your time, if you can!
