MOROCCO

Camel rides. Snake charmers. Spice markets. Dancing monkeys.

Every time The Present Perspective visits Morocco, these things stick out to us immediately.

Imagine visiting a country where you can ride a camel to stargaze in the desert one night, and relax on the beach the next afternoon. Picture a country where you can watch snake charmers, dancing monkeys and hardworking leather artisans one minute, and the next minute catch hundreds of people in synchronized prayer.

This country is Morocco.

Morocco is a land of wonders and beauty that rightfully sits on most travelers’ bucket lists. From the rolling sands of the Sahara Desert to the bustling markets of Marrakech, Morocco is filled to the brim with sights to see and elements to explore. I have visited Morocco several times, with both friends and family, and have left both times dying to return.

Whether you are a budget traveler, are traveling with kids, or are looking for a luxurious getaway, Morocco has all that you need for a great trip. Marrakech’s La Mamounia is a luxurious palace hotel that ranks among the best in the world, while hostels and budget hotels are common throughout all of the major parts of the country. While Morocco’s imperial cities of Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, and Rabat house many of the country’s biggest attractions, you shouldn’t skip the Moroccan beaches or the Sahara Desert if you have the opportunity to visit.
