This country is Bangladesh.
Located to the east of India, Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world and is one of the only places in the world where tigers roam freely in the wild. Bangladesh used to be a part of India, and eventually Pakistan, and then won its independence through the only war ever fought solely over language. Needless to say, Bangladesh is a really unique place.
One of the biggest differences between Bangladesh and its western neighbor of India is religion. While 80% of Indian people practice Hinduism, Bangladesh is almost 100% Muslim and is the 4th largest Muslim country in the world. While Bangladesh doesn’t receive nearly as many tourists as India, there are plenty of touristy things to do, including learning about the shipbreaking business in Chittagong and visiting Cox’s Bazar, which is the third-longest beach in the world.
